Description

What is Epiduo?

Epiduo Gel is a combination acne treatment containing adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antimicrobial agent). It is designed to target multiple factors contributing to acne, such as clogged pores and bacterial growth.

How Does Epiduo Work?

Adapalene helps to prevent the formation of new acne lesions by promoting skin cell turnover. Adapalene addresses your acne by inhibiting the keratinocyte differentiation that leads to clogged hair follicles on the skin. Benzoyl peroxide works by reducing bacteria as an antiseptic. Benzoyl peroxide kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation, leading to clearer skin. By combining adapalene's skin-renewing properties with the antibacterial effects of benzoyl peroxide, Epiduo tackles acne at its root by unclogging pores, reducing bacteria, and decreasing redness.
